Interesting main character, certainly not your standard background. Armor and Weapons are fun, love the idea of them being shape-shifting. Lots of action and a fun ride. Will definitely buy another book in this series.

That said I struggled a bit with whether to give this a 3 or a 4. I ended up leaning towards 4 just because I do intend to buy another. But I would have preferred a bit less of the main character telling us how bad-ass he is and it just being shown. I also had a problem with the scene where the main character basically bully's a man who was worried about his daughter simply because he didn't like how he talked to him. When you know, he was worried about his daughter! For a character who made a point of actually being the good guy and not just being interested in a body count this seemed out of place. Also having the wife cheering him on about it was really awkward. Seemed more like the author wanting to push the idea that all the women like him because "he's so strong". A bit disgusting really. On the whole though that was the only scene I really disliked and I enjoyed it quite a bit and if you are interested in a book that is fun and action filled I think you'll enjoy it.

Nimravid edition by D L Greeley Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

The nicest review I can write is that this reads like someone funneled Thundercats through a 90's era generic comic book filter. The main character is the last of his kind, has a ghost sidekick, has a katana, has tons of super powers, has a magic stone that absorbs power from everything around it without discrimination, and is fully sentient. Oh, and the 'bad guy' main character who kills people is secretly a good guy because he's hunting a child molester.

This type of thing can barely work if it is developed across several novels. But that's literally the first 10 pages. It's a horrible cliche that a 10 year old hopped up on sugar might enjoy if he was acutely illiterate.

Pro The grammar is mostly tolerable. The pacing for the action scenes is well written and concise. If the author had created a plot that didn't make my brain dribble out my ears and look for something slightly less power-fantasy (You know, something subtle. Like Shades of Grey*).

Honestly I'd rather read poorly written fan fiction devoted to Twilight.
Well told story!! Interesting characters, the reader is drawn into another time and place .. fun and entertaining!
Any more from this author?
Enjoyed the book, little chatty, but good read. Characters were fairly well developed and action was good. All in all entertaining.
Excellent! Ready for more.
If you like vampires and those who hunt them, you will love this read. Single story line with lots of references to modern news items. Remember "kitty". Thanks
Click click wwwwrrr...this is hard to put into words. I've read a lot of excellent books, and don't get me wrong I loved Nimravid, it gave me all I look fore and more... but this time I couldn't see ahead. You literally "Winged It", and I couldn't stop reading. Thank you and keep writing.
Interesting and refreshing take on action and combat. No suddenly appearing powers that trump every battle. Abilities are covered by back story, just enough to explain and tantalize a bit. All in all, a very enjoyable read in a genre that has lately been filled with repetitive and unoriginal stories. Recommended for those looking for a fresh take and an unusual "hero".
