Bachelor Unleashed Bachelors in Demand Brenda Jackson Books

I absolutely LOVE Brenda Jackson. I've been reading her novels for quite sometime. I'm always on the lookout for her most recent work. I thought I would love Bachelor Unleashed. I think I should have given the amount of sex, explicit sex!, in the book; however, this one just didn't do it for me. I've skipped around a bit with Mrs. Jackson's book series so forgive me for not keeping up. This one was quite a departure from her usual chaste writing (which I don't mind). The sex scenes in Bachelor Unleashed were scorching; however, the storyline was a bit aggravating and seemingly disjointed with the scenes from Farrah's job as a mediator. It seems that Mrs. Jackson was trying to insert a moral about friendship with the scenes from Farrah's job, but I found that whole storyline to be filler and just really uninteresting. I would've loved to read more about the interactions between Farrah and Xavier; maybe more scenes with them going out on dates etc. The part that was aggravating was Farrah herself. She was stubborn to the point of it being exasperating. So much so that she came off as a bit conceited. I couldn't quite connect with her character because it seemed she had impenetrable armor from her broken marriage. I've been devastated from a love relationship myself and am now much wiser and less likely to fall for the okey-doke, but I'm still willing to give a man a chance. He has to work for me, of course. I just felt Farrah was too cut off from her vulnerability where a relationship was concerned yet she was so wild sexually. I'd like to think it'd be the other way around; that she would be super-closed off sexually while treading carefully into a new yet promising relationship. I know that writing her character this way may have been thought of by Mrs. Jackson as a unique approach, but it really didn't endear me to Farrah's character. I found myself more and more thinking Xavier needed to kick her to the curb so she could realize what she was losing out on. I mean there's only so much trying that one should do to win someone's heart. After a while, you begin to think, hey, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Maybe this woman really isn't interested in me. So maybe the 'playing hard to get' theme was a bit too exaggerated for my taste. Otherwise, this book is readable, if anything, for the explosive sex.

Bachelor Unleashed Bachelors in Demand Brenda Jackson Books Reviews

I really loved the story of Xaiver and Farrah. I recommend this book to everyone who loves romance novels. Brenda Jackson is a great writer.
I am still reading this book. I am a huge supporter of Brenda Jackson's books (my Silken Thread, Wife for a Westmoreland, Spontaneous). However, this book was a disappointment for me. It is very similar to Wife for a Westmoreland and the story line is very boring. I'm halfway done with the book and I have not been entertained. I kept reading hoping that it would get better and maybe something will happen, but it seems as if halfway through the book something should've happened. This book was a huge disappointment.
Unfortunately, I read this book in a couple of hours. Couldn't put it down. I loved the fact that it was the woman who at first wanted the no strings attached relationship and she was adamant, and stubborn about it. I just loved that it was the man jumping through hoops to get what he wanted, which has usually been the woman's role in other books I've read. Although both had been hurt in a past relationship, I really enjoyed the happy ending. Great book?
Brenda Jackson always delivers a great read. Love her writing. She never disappoints.
Book 2 is even better than book 1 if possible. I love how you can read a BJ story over and over again and fall in love with the characters again and again. Farrah and Xavier are amazing together and I'm glad they gave love a chance again and the intimacy is Super Hot!!
Xavier and Farrah' s "booty calls" morph into a relationship, then marriage slowly, as Farrah is the last to let go of her fears. Xavier was the first to admit his love and to actively pursue her.
Great character development and plot. True friendship in and out of the bedroom is the cement of life!
I read once where Mrs. Jackson said she likes leaving smiles on the faces of her readers. If you're looking for smiles this wonderful, erotic romance won't disappoint! This book gives a warm and happy feeling to the reader as the characters bring warmth and fire to each other as they realize what their relationship really is. I'm looking forward to the tales of all of the Bachelors. Keep churning out great romances!
